Spiced Oat Milk

The perfect vegan drink for the holidays!

Spiced Oat Milk

Gluten-Free | Vegan

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups oat milk

  • 6 dates, pitted

  • 2 thumb nail size piece of ginger, peeled, sliced

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 star anise

  • 2 whole cloves

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom 

  • ground cinnamon, garnish 

Procedure:

  1. Add all ingredients to a medium size pot. Set over low-medium heat. Bring to a slow boil then lower heat. Using a wooden spoon mix to ensure it doesn't stick the bottom and start browning. 

  2. Simmer until aromatic and flavorful for about 10-15 minutes. 

  3. Remove the star anise and cinnamon sticks. Let cool slightly. 

  4. Add to a blender and blend until smooth about 3 minutes. 

  5. Using a fine strainer, strain the milk mix. Pour into two cups and dust with ground cinnamon. 

  6. You can enjoy as is, or if you have a foaming stick or cappuccino machine you can foam milk.
